Chapter 1

Dad:You twisted cow! You can't shut up for a second!
Mom: You see, this is why I left the house for two days last month!
Mom stomped off to the kitchen with her plate. We just started dinner.
Anyway Mom and Dad always argue. Leaves me with Stephie and Andrew. I never get through a day without arguing to stephie. Andrew is the best in the family. He's usually silent. I'd lost my appetite so I rushed upstairs to my bedroom. People might think I'm weird but little red pistachio nuts calm me down. I dunno why. They just do. I took one and hid it under my bed because everytime my mom sees them, she throws them away. Back to my family, Everybody has a normal name. Except for me.
Dad-George
Mom- Sally
Sister- Stephie
Brother- Andrew
I'm the weird one. CASSANDRA STEPHENS. Weird isn't it?

Next Day...

I went to Vicki's house. She's my best friend and talked to her about the problem I'm going through. I told her because her ambition is to be a doctor. Then, we went to our house and then I suddenly remembered. Tomorrow is the first day of High School. I don't want to go! Finally, the day comes...

Chapter 2

---High School Day---

Vicki and I went to the bus stop to wait for the bus. We got in and picked our favorite seats- the ones at the back. We have it all to ourselves. When we got to school, loads of things were happening. Kids running around, teachers with piles of books and papers and a screaming head teacher. It was time for first lesson. We had a teacher called Mr Spalding(weird name huh?). Anyway me and Vicki wasn't in the same first lesson. He looked evil and is EVIL! He didn't want any single vibration to be heard. I dropped my pencil and he told me off. How evil!

The bell rings. Next lesson, art. We had a teacher called Ms Finster. She's very nice. First she tells us to introduce ourselves-age, full name and hobbies. We did some paintings after that. I'm not telling you guys about the rest of the day. It went fine.

Chapter 3

Vicki's other ambition is to be a politician. So she held this after school politician club. She invited all the people she knows (politician geek). OK. I take that back. I want to be a politician too. It's quite weird when I got in her house. Decorations? This is not a birthday party. It's only politicians' party. Since I was the biggest ''politician geek'', Vicki told me to stand on her ping-pong table and make a little welcome speech. Me? No way. I stood trembling on the table. Mom and Stephie always say that I'm fat and bigger than Stephie. I'm 43kg. Stephie's only 39kg. Anyway back on the table, ' I want to thank every single one of you for attending this party. I hope you all enjoy yourselves-eat, talk, sign papers, enjoy!' I announced.

I looked around the room and saw Bertha Hopkins, my ex-rival. She comes up to me. '' Nice speech. You got a good, loud voice you know'', she turns and walks away. Then this guy strolled near me and stands next to me. ''Hi. I'm Mike. Umm...That was a good opening speech'', he introduces himself and shake my hand. '' Thanks'' I mumble as I fall for him. Not literally of course. He's got great hair, beautiful eyes, perfect smile and wonderful attitude. After the party finished Mike followed me out...

Anyway...

CHAPTER 4
''So where do you live Mike?'' I asked.
''Next door. I just moved in from Seattle'',he replied.
''Great! I can see you more often!'', I blurt out.
Did I just say that??? He doesn't even know I'm crushing on him! He starts to giggle.
''I agree with you Cassie. Come anytime you want to visit me okay?'' he says.
Wait did HE just say that? Oh My God!
''Where do you live?'' Mike asks
''Down the road''
''I'll walk you then''
Whoa this is really cool. When I was in 5th grade there was this boy that had a crush on me. I didn't like him so I said that I'm not allowed to see boys until I'm in 9th grade. He told that to everyone so since then, no-one was crushing on me. But Mike's walking me home!

When we got to my house, Mike says,
''Hope you had a great day Cassie''
He gives me a peck on my cheek.This is the best day of my life! I blushed.

The next day, I went to the bus stop alone. Vicki's already there. And so is Mike. The bus arrives.
''Go and sit next to Mike. I don't mind. Go on.'' Vicki suggests.
I agreed. I did sit next to Mike.

At school, Mike had his arms round my waist. Stephie walks past and looks shocked. She's thinking ''Who wants to go out with HER?''.
The day went fine except for Stephie's boyfriend, Greg, started a food fight and got 3 hours of detention.

Chapter 5...

At home everything was a mess. Seriously I mean a mess. Books are thrown, pillows and even broken pieces of glass. I breathed heavily. I saw my mum on the couch. Tears rolling down.
''What happened?!'' I screamed.
''Your dad is what happened. Your dad!'' she yells.
''What about him?'' I ask
''He's coming home!'' my mum replies.
''So?. We hardly get to see dad!Mom you don't know how crazy you are. You've been acting so stupid lately. Extremely stupid! '' I blurt as I raced upstairs.
I slam my bedroom door and ran to my bed. I wheezed. It's my asthma. It's coming back. I take my inhaler and breathed it in. Then I got of the bed, took a chair and climbed on it to reach the top of the cupboard. I grap my nuts and crunch them. I calm down.

My mom comes in. I hide my nuts.
''I'm sorry. It's just that me and your dad ar having a rough time. I hope you understand'', she explains and goes out of the room.
I eat the whole bag of nuts. I'm much more clamer. They never fail...
